The Barony of Hawkwood is a part of the Kingdom of Atlantia, a regional branch of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA). The SCA is an international organization dedicated to researching and re-creating the arts and skills of pre-17th-century Europe. Atlantia encompasses all of Maryland, the District of Columbia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and a small portion of Georgia.

Hawkwood is made up of most of Western North Carolina, as pictured above. We cover the counties of:
Buncombe, Cherokee, Clay, Graham, Haywood, Henderson, Jackson, Macon, McDowell. Swain, Polk, Rutherford, Transylvania, and Yancey.

We have two sub-groups, called “Cantons”, that serve more specific areas within our borders:

The Canton of Stormwall includes the following NC counties:
Cherokee, Clay, Graham, Haywood, Jackson, Macon, and Swain
